Old Medina Winery
Welcome to our new location in Jackson, Tennessee. Old Medina Winery opened its doors in November of 2006 after relocating form Lauderdale Cellars in Ripley, Tennessee.
The winery opened in its new Jackson, Tennessee location after a two year period of negotiating, planning, building, and moving.
Building
The new wine building occupies 3,000 sqft with a 1,500 sqft tasting room and 1,500 wine manufacturing area. The winery has a horse barn appearance with over hanging eves where you can relax in one of the many rocking chairs and enjoy the moment just slowing down and relaxing.
The winery has a patio attached to the building where you can sit outside and enjoy a bottle of wine with your family or friends. There are picnic tables on the patio so you can purchase cheese, bread, and/or crackers and enjoy a nice picnic.
Land
The winery is situated on 5 acres of land with 3 acres of grapes and a 1/2 acre pond. the building sits on a spur looking across toward Dyer Creek and I-40. Around the pond is where we plan to ave bimonthly music festivals starting in the spring and ending in the summer.
Tasting Room
Our tasting room has two bar areas to sample wines along three large window to look into the wine making area. You can watch us bottle and label wine all year long and in the early fall you can watch us crush and press the grapes.
We sell many agricultural products produced in Tennessee. We are proud to be members of the agriculture community in Tennessee. Also, we sell wine making equipment and supplies.
This year we plan to start a Winemakers Guild and a Wine Club. The Winemakers Guild will meet monthly to share homemade wines and wine making tips. The Wine Club will meet monthly to learn about different wines and how wine can enhance the food you eat.
We are open daily and we would be delighted to have you stop by our new location and taste some of our fine Tennessee wines.
